The Holy Temple of Witchcraft
How Classes Work
We are going to go over how classes work for our Temple Training Programs. We will go over when classes take place, how they are done, grading, etc...
There will be four start dates for our Witchcraft 101 Lessons and two start dates for all other lessons each Temple calendar year. Our Temple's calendar year runs from November 1st to October 31st. Our Witchcraft 101 Lessons will start on November 15th, February 15th, May 15th, and August 15th. Our 1st Degree Lessons will start on December 15th and June 15th. Our 2nd Degree Lessons will start on January 15th and July 15th. And our 3rd Degree Lessons will start on February 15th and August 15th.
For each set of classes a Student is taking, there will be one class day a week. The start date of a class will determine the day of the week the class is held. If the start date for a class is February 15th, and that date falls on a Monday...the weekly day for classes will be Monday for the whole course.
Lessons for each course will be posted by the beginning of THAT day. Students MUST log on that day to read their lesson. The reason for this is that some lessons will have assignments that will last a WHOLE week and will need to be started THAT day. Our Training software does track log ins and lessons accessed by each Student.
For lessons that contain a test, a Student may take the test at any time during that week. All tests will be multiple choice. A Student must receive at least an 80% on a test for it to be a passing score. Students who fail or are unhappy with their test score, will be able to re-take the test one time. The test that received the highest score will be the test used.
For lessons that contain an assignment, MOST of them require that you do an exercise every day for one week. Students must have a notebook to write in, as the assignments with exercises require you to write notes about your exercises during/after them, and then submitting those notes to your teacher. Assignments will be graded on the following things. 1) A Student doing the assignment as instructed. 2) The Student doing the assignment in the time alotted. 3) The completeness, clarity, and quality of the Student's submitted notes. And 4) The Student's spelling and grammar on the notes the Student typed up and submitted. Each assignment is worth one hundred points, and some lessons will contain more than one assignment. A Student must receive at least an 80% on an assignment to pass it.
Tests must be taken by the end of the week they are posted. At the end of the week, the tests will be closed, and a Student will receive a 0% on that test. No retakes will be permitted. Assignments must be completed and turned in by the last day of the week the stated due date to receive the points for doing them on time. Assignments will also be accepted for three days past the due date. Students turning in assignments during these three days will have points subtracted from their score for turning them in late. One day late, five points subtracted. Two days late, ten points subtracted. Three days late, fifteen points subtracted. After the three days, assignments will NO longer be accepted, and Students will receive a 0% on that assignment. No retakes permitted. The only acception to this policy, will be Students who talk to their teacher PRIOR to the test/assignment due date, and get permission for an extension. There will only be one extension allowed per lesson, and extensions will only add one week to the due date. If a Student asks for an extension on a test/assignment, they must also keep up on the current lesson. (Meaning they will be doing two lessons that week!) If a Student does not talk to their Teacher BEFORE the test/assignment due date, there will be NO extension granted. Extensions are usually only granted for reasonable requests (things like a death in the family, personal illness, etc. Not for reasons such as going to a party and not doing it, etc.) but the decision will be made at the Teacher's discretion.
Students will participate in classes by logging onto the Temple Website and accessing their lessons/tests/assignments in the Training Center. Each Student will have their own grade book, which only they and their Teacher can access. Remember, it is not just the Teacher's responsibility to know how you are doing in class, it is yours as well. There will also be chat rooms and message boards to use for discussion of classes, and to ask for help when you need it. We encourage Students to print or save a copy of each lesson for their future reference.
We hope this letter helps you sort through how our Temple's Training Program works. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us and ask! Blessed Be!
